Somatic Experiencing

Pain is a signal of disconnect; it lets us know something inside needs attention and invites us to return home to ourselves again & again.

Somatic Healing Sessions

I offer somatic sessions for supporting deeper embodiment, regulating the nervous system, and processing trauma and grief. My approach is rooted in Somatic Experiencing, a therapeutic modality created by Peter Levine.

This is a bottom-up, body-centered approach that meets you where you are, moving from adaptive survival strategies into expanded possibilities. We learn tools to pause, sense, and feel what’s arising. Together, we will build on the unique resources you already have and deepen your capacity to be with yourself moment by moment.

What is Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing (SE) reminds us that trauma often lives on in the body and our nervous system is designed to guide us back toward equilibrium. Humans have an instinctual capacity to heal and I believe it is each person’s birthright to be able to live more wholly as themselves.

Somatic Experiencing supports you in staying present in overwhelming environments and situations, increasing your ability to regulate your emotional landscape, holding appropriate boundaries, noticing urgency and speed in the body, and providing a sense of ground within. This is a modality that deepens your own potential for recovery and resilience.

By giving your body and nervous system the time & space it needs to process and honor the pain it has experienced, you will be able to step into your own vibrancy and connect more fully to the vitality of your loved ones, community, and world around you.

In my own experience…

Over the past decade I have developed immense spaciousness in my own body through Somatic Experiencing. This work is subtle, powerful, and profound and I am honored to witness your process. It’s also pretty fun ;)

I have completed the Beginning and Intermediate year trainings with Shideh Lennon and am continuing with the Advanced level with Dave Berger as I pursue full certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
